urban legends

Did you know that babies come from guns? Did you know urban legend stories sometimes make us think that something is true when it is not?
Let’s learn what an “urban legend” is, it is a story or a movie of something put in a truthful manner or in a false manner. Sometimes these stories stem from something
That did happen in true life, but then as you learn more about it, the un-true statements are intertwined with the truth. You are going to learn about a different way of getting pregnant.

According to the false urban legend, “Son of a Gun,” a woman got pregnant after coming in contacts with a bullet that had previously been shot through a males scrotum. They believed that the bullet had sperm cells on it when it got inside of her and penetrated her ovaries. This urban legend is false.

In conclusion, urban legends much like “Son of a Gun” are just stories or movies of something put in a truthful manner or in a false manner. Most of the time the urban legend will end up being false.

Pics that Lie #7

The pictures that stood out to me are The Grass-hopper, Shark Attack, Martin postcard, Sitting Jackalope, Trotsky's elimination. The picture that stood out the most to me is the Trotsky's Elimination. IT stood out to me because in one picture there was a man standing behind a little girl and in the next picture its the same thing just the guy that was standing behind the little girl was gone.

hip hop 1

I agree that rappers who talk about violence and the streets are just reflecting the violent American culture that we live in because american culture has always had bad things happen and now its getting worst. I kind of know 1st hand whats its like 2 lose a homeboy 2 gang and street violence. The quote I have 2 bak up why i agree is..."We're like in this box, and in order to be in that box, you have to be tough, you have to have a lot of gurls, you gotta have money, you gotta be a player or a pimp, you know you gotta be in control. You have to dominate other men, other people, you know. If you are not any of those things, then, you know, people call you soft or weak or a pussy or a chump or a fagget, and nobody wants to be any of those things. So everybody stays inside the box." I choose this quote because to me it basically means that if you not in that box then you would mad fun of or possably get hurt for messing wit someone who is considered to be in the box. Even people in the box have to try to dominate other people who are in the box to try and stay on top.

The video's we watched for the last two days "Tough Guys" and "Killing Me Softly" are very different. They both have different views on how the male and female are suppose look and act like. In the first video, "Killing Me Softly", is about how woman are made to be passive in many different commercials and ads. That they are suppose 2 be as thin and flawless as they are made to be in ads. Also when the female is suppose to be woman of power they still somehow show her a passive. In the second video, "Tough Guys", it was about how the male were suppose to be more aggressive. Also that males are suppose to be tough and mean and not really show there emotions. The video's show us that the world has stereo typed men and woman. They also show that the stereo types begin to occure at a very young age for both male and female. It shows that the influences of the stereo type starts as soon as they can understand how they are suppose look and act.

Key Concept

The key concept I understand the most is key concept #2, slogans and logos. I understand this concept the most because its ease. It is basically symbols and signs that people use to represent a certain company or item. Like converse (the shoe) is a circle with a 5 point star in the middle.
